Pujols and Keepers

Just got offered Pujols and J. Parker for CC and Pena. I was thinkng of offering verlander or Beckett instead. Worried about Pujols going down with TJ surgery.

I would not hesitate to take Pujols. Desite the surgery, he is the most consistent star of all time so far in his eight-year career. Take that small risk with "best player of all time" upside. A pitcher that was overused like CC is just as risky I think. You just have to take Pujols especially since it is a pretty significant upgrade over Pena.

You take the deal, then keep Verlander over Delmon Young and you still have 3 stud SP's for next season.

While you're at it, deal Holliday since his numbers are going to plummet outside of Coors!
