Howard, A. Gordon for Pence, Shields and Others

This is in a keeper league. I have room to keep anyone involved and have other players at the positions so just judge this on pure basic value over the next few years. Strikeouts for hitters and K/9 for pitchers are some of the extra categories to consider.
So what do you prefer?
Howard, Gordon for Pence, J. Shields, Dice-K, Josh Johnson, Maybin
Despite the strikouts, is Howard too valuable? Is Gordon's upside still where we thought it was are is that long gone?

I think even with the K's, Howard remains a must keep. He give you to much HR's and RBI' to cut loose.
As for Alex Gordon, im not sure what happend to him , but his value to me isnt going to get much better than it currently is. He's still young and he still could improve, but so far he isnt very good against lefties and hasnt shown improvement thus far. So for now, his value remains middle of the road.

I think this is a tough choice. I don't like giving up quality for quantity and I think Howard is the best in the deal. Still, he ruins your hitter K's category although wins the other two for you.
I really do like JJ and Maybin too though... Pence is still upside to me. Hmmm... That is a lot of good young pitching. If you need the pitching and have another great 1B by chance, then I think I'd do it.

withuout seeing the rest of your squad its kind of tought. That is a nice package for Howard, any chance in keeping Gordon? I thi hes still a good keeper.

Who are your 1st Baseman? Personally this is a very good trade. Your team will fill up very good in my opinion. The guy really wants Howard to send a ton of talent over to you. Not your problem though.
