The Dodgers are back in it with their easy seven to two win last night. A big first inning was huge and keeping Manny from getting ejected in a bench clearing confrontation was even bigger. They can not afford to lose him for any games.
One thing to keep an eye on is that Howard got off the hot seat with a two for four performance. Rollins is still there going zero for four hitting only .77 this series.
What a signing Kuroda has been this season. With a better ERA and WHIP than Dice-K had in his debut, Kuroda would be a star with more strikeouts. A very serviceable fantasy pitcher for sure and solid for the Dodgers last night.
The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that the Padres are interested in trading Jake Peavy if the offer is right. They are open to using him as bait for some players to rebuild with. His stock would drop as far as his ERA by going to almost anyone, but his wins could definitely rise. |
