This beastly guide is nearing 100 pages and tops 50,000 words...just what the heck are we writing so much about? Let's review.
The goal of the guide is to give you all the information you need to dominate your league(s); not just once at the beginning of February, but continuously throughout the spring and even into the regular season. Now that Spring Training is well under way, you can expect at least two updates per week (updates will appear in bold red, as you'll see in the preview below). Without the latest news, projections and fantasy analysis, how can you expect to be fully prepared to draft?
Here's what's inside:
The Ideal Team - Examines different drafting strategies and things to keep in mind on the big day. Wraps up with a round-by-round account a hyopthetical one-year / 12-team / mixed-league draft
Senior Circuit Spotlight - A detailed report of 21 National League sleepers (plus an additional 15 honorable mentions)
AL Angle - 21 more sleepers, this time from the American League
Burn Center - Discusses some players at each position that you might want to avoid this season
Top 25 Prospects: Pitchers - You know about Strasburg. You know about Feliz. They're not the only ones you want to know about
Top 25 Prospects: Hitters - You know about Heyward. He's not the onl...you get the idea
Tiers of Relief - Breaks down the league's closers into five tiers. With Joe Nathan likely undergoing Tommy John surgery, who's No.1?
Deep Sea Diving - A solid list of some rare to medium-rare prospects for those of you in the deepest of leagues
Expert League Draft Recap - A league made up of the DobberBaseball crew (including Dobber himself), writers from other fantasy baseball sites and the two winners from last year's Challenger League drafted on Thursday, March 18. This is a round-by-round account of how the draft went (13-team, rotisserie, 6x6) and can be found after the team-by-team projections.
At this point, we're 27 pages in. The next 60+ consist of the team-by-team projections. Here you'll find projected lineups, batting orders, rotations and bullpens, accompanied by each player's projected playing time and stats (standard 6x6 categories - R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG and OBP for hitters; W, QS, SV, HLD, ERA and WHIP for pitchers). You'll also get a detailed rundown of which prospects have the best chance of making an impact this year.
When you order the guide, you will also gain access to an Excel spreadsheet that compiles all player projections into cheatsheets for five different types of leagues: - Standard 5x5 (R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG | W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP) - 5x5 w/ OBP rather than AVG - 5x5 w/ QS rather than W - Standard 6x6 (5x5 plus OBP and HLD) - 6x6 w/ QS rather than W
And best of all, the Excel Cheatsheet will be updated just as frequently as the PDF file.

Fantasy Guide 2010 Top notch! For the price combined with the fact it's updated regularly to your draft date, no other site can touch it! I know this guide has made me a more intelligent fantasy manager! |
