The first edition of Dobber's 2010 Fantasy Baseball Guide will be available later today. Crunch time, people! You can preoder it here.

It's official, Erik Bedard is back with the Mariners. He's expected to be out until late-May / early-June, but his upside is well worth the risk from Seattle's perspective. Just think - King Felix, General Lee and...Erik the Red (that's all I got). Just keep in mind when drafting that Bedard should be no more than a late-round pick / low-dollar bid.

If you are unaware of the story behind that picture of A-Rod, you can read up on it here.

The Twins are swapping out one Orlando for the other at their #2 spot this year, as Orlando Hudson has been signed to a one-year deal worth $5 million. Hudson and his career .348 OBP are much better suited for the role - for the first time in his career he could top 90 runs.

The Nationals, losing the Hudson sweepstakes, signed free agent 2B Adam "keeping the seat warm for Ian Desmond" Kennedy to a one-year deal.

The Mariners, who are still paying Erik Bedard's medical bills and thus are likely to know the most about his recovery progress, are reportedly close to re-signing the injury-plagued lefty, who isn't expected to be ready to pitch until sometime in Maty. Though it's a longshot, what if he gives the team 150+ healthy innings? Hernandez, Lee and Bedard...tough to see that trio not winning the division.

Speaking of King Felix, his five-year / $78 million extension became a model for Justin Verlander and the Tigers, who have agreed to a five-year, $80 million contract extension.
